Terms of service

The terms and conditions apply to those who have received a quotation from Ecovert, have paid for service, and/or have received service from us.

Eligibility

  1. Must be 18 years or older
  2. Must reside or have a business within the service area
  3. By subscribing to our service, you agree to provide accurate, up-to-date, and complete information.

Pricing

  1. We reserve the right to amend any estimates that have been provided by our service advisors or booking form. In the case of amendment, you will be notified before service is rendered.
  2. All pickups will be based on an initial service fee plus any additional fees as listed in our itemized price list.

Payments

  1. Subscription fees are charged on a recurring basis for monthly subscriptions.
  2. Unless provided prior to service, cash payment if selected will be required on the day of service.
  3. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods available on our website. By submitting your payment details, you authorize Ecovert to charge your chosen payment method for subscription fees and any additional services.
  4. Payment is also accepted in the form of cash at the time of service. Any additional fees will be invoiced and payment will be due within 20 days.
  5. In the event of declined payment, Ecovert has the right to suspend service until payment resumes.

Cancellations & Refunds

  1. You may cancel your pickup or subscription at any time up until 8 AM of your pickup day.
  2. Refunds are available in the case that Ecovert is unable to provide service or in case of billing errors.
  3. In the event that our staff members are not able to gain access to the property to perform the server (i.e. keys don’t work, turned away, etc.), the client is required to pay the full price of the service.

Accepted Items

  1. The customer is required to ensure the materials provided are an accepted material of Ecovert listed on the Acceptable Items list or through direct contact.
  2. The customer is required to ensure the materials provided are free of any contamination and clean.
  3. We reserve the right to refuse the collection of hazardous materials or items that pose a risk to the environment, public health, or safety. You must adhere to Applicable Laws regarding the proper disposal of hazardous materials and make alternative arrangements for their collection and disposal.
  4. You acknowledge and agree that once we have collected an item, we cannot locate, recover or return such items to you.
  5. Non-waste items, such as furniture, appliances or clothing, must be clearly labelled to indicate their intended collection or disposal. We disclaim any responsibility in the event that we mistakenly collect an item that was not intended for collection which was not clearly labelled.
  6. Data stored on electronic devices should be erased. We will not be responsible or assume any liability if any data is recovered from electronic devices that have been collected and disposed of through Ecovert Recycling.
  7. By placing items for collection with us, you relinquish ownership of the item and agree that Ecovert has the ability to donate, reuse, recycle, sell or dismantle your items as seen fit.
  8. Any regulated waste (Lightbulbs, batteries, e-waste and oil) will be handled in accordance with applicable NYSDEC & DOT laws for disposal and transportation.

Complaints and Claims

  1. In case of a complaint or claim, we must be notified within 24 hours after completion of the service.
  2. Complaints are accepted over the phone and in writing (letter, email or fax).
  3. We strive to ensure that each of our clients is satisfied with the value that they’ve received from our company. Upon receiving a complaint or claim, we will review the situation and work with the client to establish a mutually agreed upon resolution.

Pickups and Service Modifications

  1. Ecovert will email you with your designated pickup day either for a one-time pickup or for recurring monthly pickups.
  2. Ecovert reserves the right to modify pickup days and will notify you prior to pickup.
  3. On your pickup day, you must place your items out for pickup by the designated pickup time and in a place accessible to the public. Missed pickups due to late placements or inaccessible location will not be eligible for a refund.
  4. Ecovert has the right to modify accepted items list and pricing of subscription plans. You will be notified via email of any significant changes.

Liability

  1. Ecovert is not responsible for any indirect or consequential damages arising from our services
  2. Ecovert does it’s best to recycle or reuse any material given to them. However, in the case of materials being rejected by other facilities the item may be disposed of if no recycling or reuse option exists.
